Insight

Multi-award winning and pre-eminent place to be seen and stay in Kuwait today, The Regency was severely damaged during the Iraqi invasion in 1990. The hotel remained dormant until 2005 - when its owners received compensation and undertook a comprehensive refurbishment reinstating the property to beyond its former glory. The client's objective was to realise a modern day visual and behavioural branding to enhance the experience of staying in a property of truly grand style.

Challenge

Our primary task was to evolve the brand identity, re-create and produce all communications aligned to the highest echelons of society, reflecting and communicating the property's exquisite guest experience.

Solution

We gave great consideration to identifying the unique characteristics of the key stakeholders and of the property itself. The results of which were directly influential in our alignment of the hotel's heritage values, tone-of-voice and in establishing a classic but modern-day chic. Extracting visual DNA from legacy renderings of the hotel logo and ephemera, we evolved the visual identity and subsequently, undertook its consistent application across the brand estate, guest and marketing communications.
